अन्न पदार्थ वर्गीकरण क्रमांक हा fssai अन्न सुरक्षा व मानके प्राधिकरण मार्फत अन्न पदार्थांना देण्यात आला आहे. याचा वापर आपल्या अन्न व्यवसायात आपण हाताळत असलेल्या पदार्थाच्या लेबल वर टाकावा लागतो. तसेच फूड लायसन्स काढताना सुद्धा हा क्रमांक उपयोगी ठरतो. यात दिलेले अन्न पदार्थांचे वर्ग हे वर्गीकरण करता दिलेले आहेत तसेच याच नावाने त्यांचे प्रमाणीकरण करण्यात आलेले आहे. अन्न पदार्थ संबंधी सर्व प्रकारचे कायदे करणे त्यांचे नियमन करणे व सर्व नागरिकांना आरोग्यदायी व सुरक्षित अन्न मिळावे यासाठी प्रयत्नशील असणे इत्यादी कार्ये अन्न सुरक्षा व मानके प्राधिकरण fssai ही स्वतंत्र संस्था करते.
